Stater Bros. Unveils ‘Digital Deals’ Program

Coupons are ‘clipped’ online, redeemed at checkout

Beginning this week, Stater Bros. Supermarkets will offer digital coupons though the company’s new “Digital Deals” program, designed to help customers save time and money without the use of a club card.

Customers can sign up for the Digital Deals program online using a computer or mobile device, and digitally "clip" the coupon offers for their preferred products. When customers purchase the correct products and quantities and enter their personal 10-digit number at the register, the savings are automatically applied and printed on the receipt.

"The new 'Digital Deals' program is a convenient way to make grocery shopping easier," said Jack H. Brown, chairman and CEO of Stater Bros. "We are certainly glad to provide this additional opportunity to save on the products that our 'valued' customers purchase every day."

Coupons are available immediately after they are clipped online, and unused coupons are kept in customers' accounts until they expire. Each account also tracks which coupons have been redeemed and provides a yearly savings total.

Stater Bros. currently offers approximately 100 digital coupons, including a combination of manufacturer, Stater Bros. Brand and exclusive online coupons, with new coupons added weekly. In addition, print-at-home coupons will still be available through the program.

San Bernardino, Calif.-based Stater Bros. is the largest privately owned supermarket chain in Southern California and is the largest private employer in both San Bernardino and Riverside counties. The company operates 167 supermarkets and employs nearly 18,000.
