    Strack and Van Til to Deploy Revionics’ Price/Promo Optimization Software

    Regional independent grocer Strack and Van Til, LLC, which operates 30 full-service food stores in northern Indiana and Chicago, plans to deploy Web-based price and promotion optimization software to deliver the most relevant prices across a variety of markets.

    Regional independent grocer Strack and Van Til, LLC, which operates 30 full-service food stores in northern Indiana and Chicago, plans to deploy Web-based price and promotion optimization software to deliver the most relevant prices across a variety of markets.

    The Highland, Ind.-based grocer is working with Roseville, Calif.-based Revionics’ predictive pricing, promotion, markdown and inventory optimization system. “We are highly focused on providing our customers excellent value,” said Bob Wasiuta, VP of merchandising for Strack and Van Til. “Adoption of the Revionics price optimization tool will help us plan better promotions, improve customer loyalty and aggressively attract new shoppers into our stores.”

    Strack and Van Til is well known for aggressive and innovative promotion techniques for its weekly ads, in-store promotions and longer-term promotions such as temporary price reductions (TPRs). The grocer will leverage Revionics’ solution to plan the best mix of everyday prices and promotional pricing across the markets it serves.

    Strack and Van Til operates 30 stores under the banners of Strack & Van Til, Ultra Foods, Town & Country Markets, and Key Markets.
