    Sunkist Growers Urges Consumers to ‘Share Your Twist’ on Fresh Lemons

    Contest offers cash, coupons and more for most creative videos

    Sunkist Growers wants consumers to share the many ways they use fresh lemons in an online video contest. Through Aug. 31, fans can share their ideas at www.sunkist.com/LemonContest  for a chance to win cash, free coupons and other prizes.

    “Growing lemons for over 100 years, Sunkist has heard a lot of fresh lemon tips,” said Gina Widjaja, advertising and PR manager at Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based Sunkist Growers. “However, we’re continually impressed by new ideas on how to squeeze the most out of a fresh lemon. This contest puts a fun spotlight on why fresh lemons are so much more than garnish.”

    Entrants can post a one- to two-minute video featuring their most creative and entertaining Sunkist lemon tips. Submissions will be judged according to entertainment value, originality and production quality. A grand-prize winner will receive $5,000 in cash, with five runners-up getting $1,000 in cash. The first 50 entries will also receive a free Sunkist Lemon Kit.

    As well as being a natural, salt-free enhancer of flavor, lemons can serve as a do-it-yourself face scrub or even as a substance for bringing the shine back to copper pots, notes Sunkist Growers.
