Supervalu Names New V.P. Legal
MINNEAPOLIS -Todd Sheldon has joined Supervalu Inc. here as v.p./legal services, replacing Steve Kilgriff, who is retiring from his v.p./legal post at the end of this fiscal year after 16 years with the company, Supervalu said yesterday.
Sheldon will be responsible for a variety of business areas including commercial litigation, labor and employment law, pharmacy and regulatory affairs, ethics and compliance, privacy, and food safety. He will report to e.v.p. Dave Boehnen.
Sheldon most recently was v.p./senior legal counsel for Medtronic for the past seven years, and also spent two years working as senior legal counsel, mergers and acquisitions for Medtronic in Minneapolis. Prior to that, Sheldon was a senior associate in the corporate group at Chicago-based Chapman & Cutler.
The retiring Kilgriff joined Supervalu in 1991 as manager of the company's litigation matters, after holding a number of positions with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Minnesota Attorney General's Office. He later became assistant general counsel and then vice president of legal services.
