    Sutter Home Celebrates National Moscato Day

    Brand to launch sweepstakes, Twitter party

    In honor of National Moscato Day on May 9, 2013, Sutter Home Family Vineyards invites consumers to enter its inaugural National Moscato Day sweepstakes – from May 8 to May 31 – for a chance to win one of 100 “Moscato Prize Packs.”

    Fans can also participate in a live National Moscato Day Twitter Party on May 9 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. PST, where eligible participants can enter for a chance to win either a prize pack or gift card.

    “Sutter Home has stayed relevant with consumers, by producing wines in a style they enjoy. Moscato resonates with wine drinkers — especially Millennials of legal drinking age — as these wines are accessible, in both price and taste,” said Wendy Nyberg, senior director of marketing for Sutter Home. “We look forward to enjoying Sutter Home’s wines with Moscato fans during our Twitter party on May 9th and thank them for supporting the brand.”

    Over the past decade, the wine industry has seen an accelerated growth in Moscato sales – a 26.9 percent increase over the past year alone. Having produced its first Moscato in 1952, Sutter Home today offers five varieties: Moscato, Bubbly Moscato, Pink Moscato, Bubbly Pink Moscato and Red Moscato.

    Sutter Home Family Vineyards is wholly owned and operated by the Trinchero family, Napa Valley vintners since 1948.
