Diane Teer has been selected as the new president of MeadWestvaco Corp.’s food packaging business, for which she will lead profitable growth strategies, including building strong partnerships with food customers and driving innovative “shopper ready” solutions across retail grocery channels.

Teer brings a wealth of experience around launching disruptive new consumer packaged goods products and actively aligning business segments to new and changing company values and growth strategies.

“Diane brings valuable consumer-focused industry and market growth expertise to this role, strengthening MWV's participation in the large and attractive markets for food packaging,” said Bob Feeser, senior VP. “We are bringing together consumer insights, design, materials science and engineering expertise to bring our customers a more compelling approach to their packaging – one that engages consumers in a powerful way that creates an unparalleled edge for their brands in the marketplace. The addition of Diane to our team is an important step in MWV’s overall growth strategy.”

Teer most recently served as president of World Kitchen LLC, where she led the North America division as well as global innovation for well known brands like Pyrex, Corelle, Corningware and Chicago Cutlery. Prior to World Kitchen, she held leadership positions in frozen and culinary foods at ConAgra Foods. During her four-year tenure there, she oversaw leading brands including Banquet, Marie Callender’s and Healthy Choice as part of the $2 billion frozen foods business, and provided strategic oversight for all dedicated functional areas and plants.

Teer also spent nine years at the Campbell Soup Co., during which she focused on growing and refreshing brands in the beverage and soup categories. As vice president and general manager of the Beverage division, she led the successful rebranding of V8 and strategically managed a disciplined and effective approach to R&D and product innovation.

MeadWestvaco Corp. provides packaging solutions to many of the world’s most-admired brands in the healthcare, beauty and personal care, food, beverage, home and garden, tobacco, and commercial print industries.
