Times Supermarkets Earns Sterling Silver Top Marketing Honors

Times Supermarkets has been named Retail Marketer of the Year by Cargill Meat Solutions Corp.’s Sterling Silver Premium Meats brand. The 18-store Honolulu, Hawaii-based grocer was among several retailers and distributors honored by Cargill’s Sterling Silver brand during its recent 2009 Marketing Brand Summit.

Retail Highest Volume Percentage Growth for Pork: Tahlequah, Okla.-based Reasor’s, which launched the Sterling Silver Premium Pork program in May 2008 at 16 stores in the greater Tulsa market.

Retail Highest Volume Percentage Growth for Beef: Dillons, a division of The Kroger Co., with 93 stores across Kansas. Dillon’s has been a Sterling Silver retailer since 2000.

Foodservice Distributor Marketer of the Year: Winn Meat, a division of Ben E. Keith, with offices in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, has consistently exceeded expectations with stellar marketing support.

Highest Foodservice Volume Percentage Growth for Pork: Honolulu, Hawaii-based Y. Hata & Co. Well-known throughout the islands, the company is trusted and admired by its operator customer base. Y. Hata also received the Signature Club Star Player of the Year award in recognition of its dedication to the Sterling Silver Operator Loyalty Program.
