Stater Bros. Supermarkets expects a half million people to attend The Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous, which will be held Thursday, September 15 through Sunday, September 18 along the historic streets of downtown San Bernardino. This is the 15th straight year that Stater Bros. has been the title sponsor.

The 22nd Annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous is expected to draw a record breaking attendance of over 500,000 car enthusiasts, and there will be 1,700 registered participants showcasing their classic cars, hot rods and custom vehicles, generating $44 million dollars for the local economy.

"During our 75th Anniversary Celebration Year, Stater Bros. once again supports the annual Stater Bros. Route 66 Rendezvous," said Jack H. Brown, chairman of the board and CEO of San Bernardino-based Stater Bros. "We are happy to give back to the many car enthusiasts in the communities we serve by sponsoring this free nostalgic weekend for the entire family to enjoy."

The Stater Bros. "Family" Fun Zone will be located in the heart of the event at Court and "E" Streets in downtown San Bernardino. This promotional area is free and will feature food sampling, interactive games, and community outreach booths. The Stater Bros. Court Street Stage will host live music throughout the event from a variety of famed artists such as The Fab Four Beatles Tribute Band, Rockabilly favorite Buzz Campbell, and the piano-pumping Neil Morrow.

Stater Bros. is also sponsoring a celebrity autograph session featuring National Hockey League Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille and professional racing and stunt driver Tanner Foust.

Stater Bros. operates 167 Supermarkets in Southern Calif.
