United Supermarkets shoppers can now earn small kitchen appliances at no additional cost while fulfilling their everyday grocery needs in a sweepstakes the grocer launched to promote its new Grundig Cookware offering.

Between October 19 and March 6, shoppers can earn bonus stickers toward the purchase of any of eight small kitchen appliances from Grundig, a producer of electronic appliances. Since Grundig appliances are not available anywhere else in the United States, this promotion is exclusive for United Supermarkets guests.

“I was very impressed with the performance and durability of all the equipment,” said Chris Wilson, corporate chef for United. “The black and stainless color fits into the style of most modern kitchens. I would use these in my home kitchen if given the choice to purchase them against similar brands.”

Guests will receive one bonus sticker to collect and redeem for Grundig appliances for every $10 they spend on qualified purchases at any United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos United and United Express location.

Shoppers may earn appliances of their choice in any of three ways: free (by redeeming the full number of bonus stickers); at a significantly reduced price (by redeeming half the required bonus stickers); or by purchasing pieces at full retail value.

Guests will have until March 20, 2012, to redeem their bonus stickers.

Items in the eight-piece small kitchen appliance set include:

• A hand mixer,
• Electronic can opener,
• Toaster,
• Jug blender,
• Coffee maker,
• Coffee grinder,
• Small grill,
• Hand blender.

“These small kitchen electronics can help prepare any holiday feast,” said Wilson. “They would also be perfect as holiday gifts.”

Lubbock, Texas-based United Supermarkets operates 51 stores under four distinct formats: United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos United and United Express.
