More Soup for You

PrintMore Soup for You

No soup for you? Perhaps not anymore.

As consumers clamor for hot soups in cold weather, products from The Original SoupMan – the brand tied to the classic “No Soup for You” episode of television’s “Seinfeld” – are more widely available.

New York-based SoupMan Inc., recently announced expanded distribution to 340 new supermarket locations, bringing its total to nearly 4,000 U.S. food retailers. New stores include Price Chopper stores in New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire; Food Basics stores in Northern New Jersey, Brooklyn, New York and Philadelphia; and more than 200 Ingles Markets in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Already, the brand’s soups are sold through major retailers such as A&P, Associated Food Stores, Carrs, Dominick’s, Fairway, Food Emporium, H-E-B, Pathmark, Pavilions, Randalls, Safeway, Super Fresh, The Fresh Market, Tom Thumb, Vons, Waldbaum’s, Weiss and Woodman’s.

Its expanded presence isn’t the only thing new about The Original SoupMan products; the soups are now available in shelf-stable Tetra Recart cartons. Made from renewable sources, the cartons are BPA-free and recyclable.

Varieties of The Original SoupMan Soups include Lobster Bisque, Chicken Noodle, Lentil and Tomato Bisque. Suggested retail price is $3.79 to $3.99 for a two-serving, 17.3-ounce carton.
