PrintHarris Teeter Gets ‘Lucky 13’ Signature Sub

Harris Teeter and Anthony Stewart, forward for the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team, have teamed up on the Southeast regional grocer’s latest Signature Sub Sandwich: Stewart’s personally designed “Stew’s Lucky 13.”

To mark the hearty sandwich’s introduction, Stewart, who, naturally enough, boasts the number 13 on his jersey, will sign autographs and provide samples at the Crescent Commons Harris Teeter in Cary, N.C., from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 4.

Retailing for $3.99, Stew’s Lucky 13 features Black Forest turkey, Virginia ham, Genoa salami, Swiss cheese, lettuce, mayonnaise and mustard on wheat bread. For $4.49, shoppers can upgrade to a lunch pack consisting of the sandwich and customers’ choice of one Chocolate Chunk, Macadamia Nut, Oatmeal Raisin or Cranberry Nut Cookie.

Stew’s Lucky 13 will be available in the Fresh Foods Market Sandwich Shop in all Raleigh, N.C.-area Harris Teeter stores. The section sells made-to-order sandwiches and wraps daily.

The sandwich is Harris Teeter’s first Signature Sub Sandwich of the season, with more planned to roll out.
