To mark the 42nd anniversary of Earth Day this month, Chiquita Brands is featuring special secondary stickers on Chiquita organic bananas, along with its iconic blue-and-yellow stickers. Throughout April, the stickers will appear on organic bananas sold in the United States and feature Chiquita’s dedicated website highlighting its global sustainability efforts.

“[W]e consider ourselves shareholders in global sustainability,” noted Manuel Rodriguez, chief corporate responsibility officer at Cincinnati-based Chiquita. “For more than 20 years, it’s been an important part of our company, and we know our consumers expect us to operate in sustainable ways. From conserving our natural resources and protecting our ecosystem, global sustainability is one of our most important and passionate endeavors. Taste is not the only thing we care about at Chiquita.”
