To help families incorporate both health and flavor in their meal planning, Sam’s Club has joined forces with Katie Workman, author of “The Mom 100 Cookbook” and the latest member of the Sam’s Club Simply Delicious Chef Brigade. In three new recipes developed exclusively for Sam’s Club, Workman recommends simple, vitamin-enriched food swaps and flavorful accents sourced from the warehouse club retailer.

Mix Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Mustard Vinaigrette turns the often-snubbed green into a sought-after side, while the Citrus Marinated Salmon with Tangy Sauce and Sweet Potato Pie recipes offer fare that’s comforting and flavorful, yet still nutritious. Members can find the easy-to-follow meal preparation instructions online.

“As a mom, I’m familiar with the wrinkled noses and protests that come with serving traditionally healthy recipes,” acknowledged Workman. “Fish and vegetables aren’t always at the top of everyone’s list, but with a few extra flavors, you can turn these staples from ‘yuck’ to ‘yes, please.’ The key is to start with fresh, quality ingredients as the base of your meal and to be open-minded about how flavors can work together to create something delicious.”

Now in its second year, the Sam’s Club Simply Delicious Chef Brigade enlists nationally recognized chefs and cookbook authors to provide easy-to-make meal solutions, using ingredients readily available from the retailer. New recipes are posted monthly, along with instructional videos, cooking tips, wine pairing recommendations and in-club sampling calendars.

Sam’s Club serves more than 47 million members in clubs across the United States, as well as in Brazil, China and Mexico.
