United Supermarkets Launches Million Dollar Summer Promo

PrintUnited Supermarkets Launches Million Dollar Summer Promo

Backed with more than $4 million in prizes and money-saving offers up for grabs, United Supermarkets this week is kicking-off its annual million dollar summer Collect & Win customer sweepstakes. The game runs for 15 weeks – beginning Wednesday, May 25 and ending Tuesday, Sept. 6 – or until all game tickets have been distributed.

“The Million Dollar Summer Collect and Win Game is another way United Supermarkets demonstrates its commitment to being on the leading edge of bringing guests ultimate service and the best value in town,” said Wes Jackson, CMO of the Lubbock, Texas-based United Supermarkets.

Guests receive one free game ticket with each total purchase and can earn additional game tickets by purchasing participating partner products that will be flagged throughout the store. The bottom of each receipt shows how many game tickets each guest earned for that visit.

Each game ticket contains three chances to win:

• The Coupon section will contain a discount offer, free product offer, Redbox video rental, $2 instant cash or two bonus game tickets.

• Guests can play the Internet Game by logging on to www.unitedtexas.com and typing in the nine-digit-code printed on the receipt. More than $260,000 in cash, vehicles, computers and gift cards will be given away.

• The Collect and Win game markers can be attached to the matching game play area on the official game board. Complete the game play area with matching markers and win that prize. Prizes include free groceries, home makeovers, motorcycles, vehicles, computers and cash.

“The best thing to remember about a collect-and-win game is that every ticket gets the guest closer to winning and no one has lost until the last ticket has been distributed,” added Jackson.

Participating locations include the 44 United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos store locations in Lubbock, Abilene, Wichita Falls, Amarillo and surrounding areas.

With stores in 30 markets across north and west Texas, the family-owned United Supermarkets currently operates 51 stores under four distinct formats: United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos United and United Express.
