Sprouts Farmers Market is celebrating 10 years as a natural and organic foods retailer, growing from one store in Chandler, Ariz., to approximately 150 today, with four more scheduled to open this year.

Sprouts plans to continue with its aggressive growth plans by opening 15 new locations next year in several locations including Phoenix, Los Angeles, Houston and Denver.

In celebration of ten years, Sprouts has some special events planned. On Wednesday, July 11th, the world-renowned "Cheese Lady" Sarah Kaufmann (sarahcheeselady.com) will be making a special stop in Arizona to help celebrate this milestone. She will carve an Arizona-themed birthday cake out of a 300 pound block of cheddar.

It will also hold a Facebook promotion: “10 Days of Giveways” (visit www.facebook.com/SproutsFarmersMarket), as well as other anniversary promotions

As we close on a decade of business together, I look forward to sprouting many more markets in the near future and meeting more great people along the way.”

Sprouts operates approximately 150 stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.
