Print2 Key Fresh & Natural Stores Opening in Queens, N.Y.

Key Food Stores Co-operative Inc. will open two Key Fresh & Natural locations in the Queens, N.Y., neighborhoods of Jamaica and Springfield Gardens. Each store is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 25, at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively.

Key Food executives will be on hand for the events, including Chief Executive Dean Janeway, VP George Knobloch, Senior Director Chet Koby and Senior Director of Business Development Gino Palummo.

Both stores will feature extensive deli, meat, and produce departments, as well as free customer parking, ATM machines and the ability to accept phone orders for free delivery with a minimum $40 purchase. The Jamaica location will also offer senior citizens a 10 percent discount on Wednesdays, along with a fresh seafood department.

“I strive to continually serve my customers as best I can,” said the stores’ owner, Rolando Abreu, who converted his two former C-Town locations to the Key Fresh & Natural banner. “I care a great deal about the community and bringing Key Fresh & Natural to our neighborhood will offer customers the highest quality available.”

Staten Island, N.Y.-based Key Food consists of more than 130 independently owned and operated grocery stores. In addition to the Key Food banner, the stores operate under the Key Food Marketplace, Key Fresh & Natural, Food Dynasty, Food World, Holiday Farm, Locust Valley and Milford Farms brands in all five New York City boroughs, Long Island, upstate New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
