Best Tweets Win Summer Treats

PrintBest Tweets Win Summer Treats

This summer, Mars Chocolate North America has offered the chance to win 1,000 SNICKERS Ice Cream bars with a single tweet.

Consumers can enter by tweeting to @SnickersIceCrm  how they would share 1,000 Snickers Ice Cream bars with friends, family or colleagues. The three respondents with the best, most creative answers – in 140 characters or fewer, of course – will win 1,000 ice cream bars to share at the summer event of their choosing.

“We hear from fans all the time that Snickers Ice Cream bars are almost too good to share, so we felt it was time to give Americans an extra incentive,” said Craig Hall, general manager of Hackettstown, N.J.-based Mars Chocolate North America. “We’ve always had creative fans, and we can’t wait to see the novel ways they plan to share 1,000 of these cool summer treats.”

It’s been a generous summer for the company, as Mclean, Va.-based Mars Inc. donated $5 million to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History as the principal sponsor of “American Enterprise” (working title), a forthcoming exhibition that will chart the development of the nation’s economy from the mid-1700s to the present.  The exhibit is set to open in 2015.

Tweets for the contest will be accepted until midnight (ET) on Thursday, Aug. 9. A complete list of contest rules and guidelines is available here.
