ShopRite to Reveal ‘Knock Out Hunger’ T-shirt Design Contest Winners

PrintShopRite to Reveal ‘Knock Out Hunger’ T-shirt Design Contest Winners

ShopRite Partners In Caring, in collaboration with General Mills, will hold a Feb. 14 unveiling event at New York City’s Time Warner Center to reveal the grand-prize winner of the “Knock Out Hunger” T-Shirt Design Contest. To support its year-round, hunger-fighting initiative, ShopRite Partners In Caring challenged aspiring artists to express themselves on the issue through original T-shirt designs.

At the event, the charitable arm of  Keasbey, N.J.-based retail cooperative Wakefern Food Corp., whose members operate 200-plus ShopRite stores in the Northeast, along with celebrity judge Jeannie Mai, host of Style Network’s “How Do I Look?” will unveil the top 15 submissions. The grand-prize design will receive pride of place in “Project Runway” runner-up Korto Momolu’s fashion show during New York Fashion Week 2012, which runs from Feb. 9 through Feb. 16. The shirt will also be offered for sale at the unveiling event, with proceeds benefiting ShopRite Partners In Caring.

Additionally, ShopRite will recognize the top three designs on a special-edition Cheerios box, which will be sold exclusively at all ShopRite stores during the month of September 2012.
