Mobile App Available for Housewares Show

PrintMobile App Available for Housewares Show

The International Housewares Association, sponsor of the International Home + Housewares Show, has released its first-ever mobile app to help attendees make their show visit more productive. The new app, named “ih+hs 2012,” is available for iPhone and iPad in the iTunes Store or for Android devices in the Android Market.

The 2012 IH+HS will feature 2,000 housewares exhibitors and attract more than 60,000 attendees. “This new app will allow buyers and other show attendees to navigate the show more efficiently, and quickly and easily find all suppliers, show events and buyer services,” said Phil Brandl, IHA president. “We believe that this new tool will represent a significant improvement in a buyer’s ability to take advantage of time spent at the show.”

Buyers can use the ih+hs 2012 app to search for exhibitor booths as well as their pre-planned, customized show floor plans and exhibitor lists through a direct link to Housewares Connect 365, IHA’s web-based online industry search tool. The app also allows buyers and other attendees to search for information on show educational events and displays and Cooking Theater appearances, as well as locate show services such as coat check or restaurant facilities. In addition, it offers access to social media feeds through Twitter and Facebook.

This year the show opens at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10, and continues through Tuesday, March 13. More information about the show is available online.
