Food Lion Banners Offering OfficeMax Products

To help its shoppers easily get everything they need in the way of office and back-to-school supplies, Food Lion banners Food Lion, Bloom, Harveys and Reid’s will now carry over 200 OfficeMax products year-round.

Available items will include award-winning TUL writing instruments, DiVOGA style supply products, various grades of OfficeMax brand copy paper, Ascend mailing products and [IN]PLACE binders, in addition to such back-to-school mainstays as notebooks, school glue and crayons, all offered at what the retailer said were “great prices.”

According to Food Lion family director of category management Ann Raives, “This partnership with OfficeMax will provide our customers access to a number of office and school supply products that can be conveniently purchased during their grocery shopping trip.”

Added Bill Zeuch, SVP, new business development for Naperville, Ill.-based OfficeMax: “OfficeMax retail merchandising expertise is a strong asset for other retail outlets who include office supply products as non-core items. The Food Lion family is a great partner in this new program.”

The new products will be displayed in the office and school supply section of the stores, in addition to being featured in other store areas as appropriate.

The Food Lion family, based in Salisbury, N.C., operates over 1,300 supermarkets, either directly or through affiliated entities, under the names of Food Lion, Bloom, Harveys or Reid’s. The division of the Brussels-based retail conglomerate Delhaize Group employs about 74,000 associates in 11 Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
