    Topco Label Redesign Lifts Bi-Lo Sales 19 Percent

    MAULDIN, S.C. -- Southeastern grocery chain Bi-Lo, LLC here has seen an average sales lift of 19 percent on one of its private label lines after a redesign by Topco, according to the Skokie, Ill.-based private label purveyor.

    MAULDIN, S.C. -- Southeastern grocery chain Bi-Lo, LLC here has seen an average sales lift of 19 percent on one of its private label lines after a redesign by Topco, according to the Skokie, Ill.-based private label purveyor.

    A team of designers and project managers from Topco's creative services redesigned more than 2,000 labels for Bi-Lo's Southern Home center store and perishable products.

    "Now the designs on the outside reflect the quality of the product inside," said Mike Mannion, Bi-Lo's director of sales planning and corporate brands; he was quoted in Topco's e-newsletter, TopNews.
