Tops Markets LLC promoted both Doug Stoll and Ken Brown.

Stoll’s new role is manager, retail pricing and analytics. Before his promotion, he was Tops’ Nielsen in-house client manager for the past six years. He teaches an organizational behavior class at the Jacobs School of Management at the University of Buffalo (UB), and is a faculty sponsor of the UB Undergraduate Consulting Club. Stoll also served in the U.S. Navy and is still a committee member for employee support of the National Guard and Reserve.

Brown is now manager of food safety, in which capacity he will oversee daily management of all aspects of food safety, inspections and regulatory operations.  Since joining Tops in 1995, Brown has held various roles, including in the accounting department. He’s also an emergency medical technician and a member of CASA (Central Atlantic States of Food and Drug Officials), for which he handles the accounting.   

Williamsville, N.Y.-based Tops operates 169 supermarkets, with five additional stores run by franchisees under the Tops banner. The grocer employs more than 14,000 associates in New York, northern Pennsylvania and Vermont. The company is No. 28 on Progressive Grocer's 2018 Super 50 list of the top grocers in the United States.
