TotalFloral and the Perishables Group said they have formed a working alliance revolving around information and expertise sharing to advance the floral category within the supermarket channel.
The alliance allows for the combination of the Homestead, Fla.-based TotalFloral’s supermarket floral category expertise and the Chicago-based Perishables Group’s category analysis and market data provided by The Nielsen Co.
The partnership is the first of its kind for the floral category, said the two parties. TotalFloral will utilize the Perishables Group’s proprietary FreshFacts software to provide value to retail clients by analyzing product distribution, movement, market share, price, promotion effectiveness, and other market-sensitive information about fresh floral sales.
