To date, more than 17,000 deli professionals have visited the division’s website for business-building strategies, consumer insights and ways to improve the deli shopper experience. Tyson Deli has developed such proprietary consumer research as data and usage trends to identify which type of consumers are more likely to purchase a particular deli product, the quantity purchased and suggested strategies to employ for best results.
As well as offering consumer insights to help drive purchase, Tyson Deli introduces innovative products, including Crispy Glazed wings, that provide retailers longer hold times and higher profit margins, to the prepared deli section. These products provide retailers with easy, low-labor solutions to add value to the deli prepared chicken category.
Beyond consumer insights and innovation, Tyson offers customers a full schedule of seasonal promotions and merchandising across core prepared and processed deli categories. These promotions help drive awareness and trial, boost purchase and frequency, increase shopper incidence, convert shoppers to buyers and spur buyers to repurchase, thereby generating top-line sales. Last year, Tyson’s promotional programs were deployed in more than 25,000 outlets, resulting in a promotional lift of 72 percent and higher, according to company data.
