Tyson Fresh Meats, Inc., a subsidiary of Tyson Foods, Inc., has unveiled a new red, white and blue website for its Star Ranch Angus brand that was revamped as an interactive consumer destination for beef purchasing and cooking information.
“Consumer needs are changing, and our Star Ranch Angus beef website was revamped to meet those needs,” said Rick Janke, brand manager for Tyson Fresh Meats. “As we grow the Star Ranch Angus beef brand, our efforts are focused on building a consumer community around the brand through the interactive website and social platforms.”
There is also a business-to-business version of the website for commercial customers.
New features on the website include:
- Searchable recipes by cut type, cooking method or season
- Recipe share function for consumers to post on their favorite social networks
- Recipe ratings and reviews, where consumers can rate recipes and give their personal feedback and tips
- Mobile-friendly site allows consumers to reference recipes while shopping the meat case
Springdale, Ark.-based Tyson Foods is one of the world's largest processors and marketers of chicken, beef and pork, and the second-largest food production company in the Fortune 500.
