Tyson Goes Boneless

No bones about it: Based on ongoing consumer feedback and research – including a recent survey from Technomic – Tyson Foods of Springdale, Ark., has introduced new Simply Fried boneless fried chicken for the retail deli department.

Available in master cases with breast and thighs that comprise nine four-piece boxes, Simply Fried boneless chicken combines the traditional home-style taste of regular fried chicken with the convenient, in-demand boneless format.

The Simply Fried chicken consists of premium chicken pieces with a high-quality coating designed to retain internal moisture. While quality and convenience are pivotal to shoppers, deli operators and staff also appreciate the product, because it requires simple cooking procedures utilizing existing chicken frying equipment. Holding times are longer, too, based in the tenderness and high moisture content.

According to Tyson’s brand manager, T. FuQua, the new Simply Fried chicken combines the proverbial best of both worlds of fried chicken and boneless premium chicken for today’s consumers concerned with flavor, convenience and innovative meal solutions.“Offering a premier chicken option like Simply Fried helps grocers capitalize on consumer trends and adds tremendous value to any deli section instantly,” FuQua remarks.
