    Tyson's Football Promo Charges Ahead

    The food giant has now teamed with FATHEAD, Chinet and T. Marzetti.

    Tyson Foods’ season-long football promotion continues with a national partnership with FATHEAD, Chinet and T. Marzetti. Timed to lead up to the championship game in February, the “Cover the Spread promotion has rolled out to about 8,000 stores across the country, as well as online at TysonWingsandFootball.com.

    The in-store component feature a coupon for $1 off 2 pounds or more of Tyson Wings or Boneless Wings, along with a discount code for 15 percent off at FATHEAD.com, the Livonia, Mich.-based company’s website, where thousands of officially licensed products can be purchased, including those of many sports teams. At TysonWingsandFootball.com, Shoppers can register for a chance to win thousands of instant prizes, and will receive coupons from “quarter sponsors” disposable-tableware manufacturer Chinet, a division of De Soto, Kan.-based Huhtamaki Americas, and Columbus, Ohio-based T. Marzetti, which offers such items as dips, dressings, appetizers, frozen breads and rolls, and desserts.

    “Shoppers agree with us -- wings and boneless wings are the perfect football party food,” said Eric Le Blanc, director of sales development for Springdale, Ark.-based Tyson Deli. “We continue to engage consumers and enhance their enjoyment of their football season gatherings by including great partners like FATHEAD, Chinet, and T. Marzetti.”
