United Supermarkets' C.E.O. Releases Second Book

Dan Sanders, c.e.o. of Lubbock, Texas-based United Supermarkets, has just released his second book, "Equipped to Lead," which identifies the necessary tools to create a successful workplace. Sanders' first book, "Built to Serve," was a New York Times bestseller.

Sanders has led the 47-store operator since 2004. The chain was the first to win the National Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. Sanders is also co-founder of The Center for Corporate Culture and a highly decorated former Air Force U2 reconnaissance pilot.

Published by McGraw-Hill, "Equipped to Lead" "provides the tools needed to put the people-first model to work in the workplace," according to a company release. The book focuses on the "4Ps" critical to long-term success in business: people, process, partners and performance.

Sanders co-authored the book with Galen Walters. Developer of the 4P Management System and founder of the Leadership Lab at Go Away Farm, Walters is also founder and managing director of the marketing/business consulting firm, Go Think! and served as c.e.o. of adplex, a Houston advertising/marketing services firm.

"Equipped to Lead" is available at all major bookstores, including online retailers, as well as all United Supermarkets, Market Street, and Amigos United locations.
