    Vertis Honored for DunnhumbyUSA’s Kroger Campaign

    First-place award recognizes innovative program that engaged customers

    Vertis Communications received a first-place Web Offset Association Print Award from Printing Industries of America, in partnership with DunnhumbyUSA for an innovative direct marketing program for the Kroger Co.

    “We are honored to receive this recognition from Web Offset Association, which underscores Vertis’ commitment to helping our clients achieve superior results through innovative printing,” said Gerald Sokol Jr., Vertis president, interim CEO and CFO.

    Vertis was honored for overall craftsmanship for its creative design, featuring vibrant colors and brand-boosting imagery. The piece was produced on high-gloss stock using Vertis’ proprietary inline printing process, recognized as one of the industry’s most efficient.

    Vertis has worked with DunnhumbyUSA since 2006 to develop and implement highly personalized, engaging direct marketing campaigns that deliver exceptional results for numerous leading brands such as Kroger. Kroger achieved unrivaled personalization with speed and efficiency through Vertis’ box pop-up mailer format with an attached Bonus Savings Card. Each piece was versioned with featured brand products and special discounts based on Kroger Loyalty Customers’ historical product preferences, allowing Kroger to deliver “exclusive offers” and powerful promotions to its customers.
