McCormick Reveals Most-searched Fall Recipes

It appears that McCormick has answered the so-often posed question among families, “So what’s for dinner?”

To help inspire consumers during peak home-cooking season, McCormick tapped Google insights to find the top 10 most-searched family dinner recipe terms, and matched them with simple and flavorful recipes that are perfect for busy fall schedules.

The top 10 dinner recipe searches – based on top searches from August 2012 to October 2012 from Google’s Reporting and Benchmarking Tools – and matching recipes selected from McCormick.com are:

  • Chicken -- Serve Herb Chicken Skillet with Spinach and Tomatoes over pasta.
  • Chili -- Try Chicken Chili with Black Beans & Corn.
  • Meatloaf -- Italian Meat Loaf is extra savory.
  • Lasagna -- Lasagna Formaggio is a family favorite.
  • Pork Chops -- Tender Home Style Pork Chops require just a few ingredients.

To further encourage at-home cooking occasions, McCormick has launched FlavorPrint, a free online tool that analyzes user feedback to identify an individual’s unique flavor “fingerprint” -- or FlavorPrint, as it’s known – which is then used to generate personalized recipe recommendations.

"With FlavorPrint, trying a new recipe isn't a guessing game – you know you're going to like it before you even make it," said McCormick chef Kevan Vetter. “It's extremely intuitive, considering things like the flavors you love, ingredients you have on hand, preparation time, seasonality and degree of difficulty. Based on your unique FlavorPrint, you may get Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas, while another person may get Tuscan Pasta. It's completely personalized.”

Accessible at McCormick.com, FlavorPrint can be used anywhere, from the kitchen to the grocery store. And, the more it's used, the more closely it tailors its recipe recommendations.
