    VUSE Builds Brand Awareness at South by Southwest Festival

    RJR product is the official vapor product of the event.

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- VUSE is getting prime exposure as the official vapor product of South by Southwest 2014 (SXSW).

    The increasingly popular music, film and interactive conference andĀ festivalĀ is held each year in Austin, Texas. SXSW 2014 began March 7 and runs through March 16.

    "With a culture of innovation and focus on emerging trends, South by Southwest is the ideal setting to showcase the state-of-art, digital technology in VUSE that makes it a game-changer for the vapor industry," said Stephanie Cordisco, president of R.J. Reynolds Vapor Co.

    R.J. Reynolds Vapor Co. is a subsidiary of Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Reynolds American Inc.

    VUSE stations are dotting the festival, including a booth at the Austin Convention Center. In addition, brand representatives are interacting with age-verified adult tobacco consumers at several festival events, including the Outdoor Music Festival at Butler Park on March 13-15.

    The VUSE digital vapor cigarette has been available in Colorado since July 2013. This January, distribution was expanded to Utah.

    "We are encouraged by feedback from Colorado and Utah, as well as this year's International Consumer Electronics Show, where VUSE was well received by the technology community," Cordisco said. "2014 will be a big year for VUSE, and SXSW offers another opportunity to build momentum as we work to expand the brand nationally in the coming months."
