Wegmans Food Markets is asking consumers "what kind of shopping experience" they seek when it comes to the greeting card category, as well as other stationery items.
The chain sent an invitation to subscribers of its Fresh News e-mail newsletter to participate in what it said was a five-to-10 minute online survey of their greeting card and stationery buying habits.
"No matter where you go for greeting cards, we want to find out what kind of shopping experience you'd like," the Rochester, N.Y.-based grocer said in the e-mail.
Wegmans asked consumers whether they had bought magazines, greeting cards, books, or stationery items since the beginning of the year, at Wegmans and any other stores.
Its survey also asked what percent of consumers' total grocery shopping occurs at Wegmans.
