Weis to Give Away 4,000 Bags With $50+ of Store Brands, Coupons

A Weis Markets store team is giving away 4,000 bags with more than $50 worth of free store brand products and coupons with a combined value of nearly $220,000 in the neighborhoods surrounding one of its southcentral Pa. stores.

The “Weis Brand Giveaway,” which will take place over the next ten days, is part of the grand re-opening celebration for its store on Bumble Bee Road in the Upper Allen Township section of Mechanicsburg, Pa., which has been extensively remodeled and now has expanded service departments.

Noting that the regional retailer celebrates grand re-openings “with huge giveaways,” Dennis Curtin, spokesman for the Sunbury, Pa.-based Weis, explained that ambassadors from the store will be in the neighborhoods surrounding the store to give away “nine of our best store brand products free of charge along with six high-value coupons.”

Packed in Weis reusable bags, the giveaway bags contain Weis brand toasted oats, Weis/Utz Five Star potato chips, hamburger buns (8-count), EZ squeeze ketchup, barbecue sauce, squeeze mustard, sugar-free iced tea mix, heavy duty assorted cutlery and Weis paper towels.

The bag also contains six coupons including one offering $10 off a $50 order, dollar off a gallon of gas (maximum 20 gallons) at any Weis Gas N’ Go and Sheetz locations for a new or transferred prescription along with discount coupons for the store’s perishable departments.

Weis Markets operates 162 stores in five states: Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia.
