Weis, Hospital Join Forces for Women's Heart Health
SUNBURY, Pa. -- Lancaster General Hospital and Weis Markets' "Heart Healthy Woman Program" will offer 90-minute healthy grocery shopping tours in participating Weis stores next month, according to a local press report.
During the tour, which will be led by a registered dietitian or health educator, consumers will receive information about labels and healthy choices.
Among the participating locations are Willow Street, Fruitville, Millersville, Roherstown, Manheim, Ephrata, and Lititz, Pa. A special tour for children ages 6 to 16 will be held during the June 21 tour in Ephrata.
Space is limited to 15 participants per tour, and the registration fee is $10, which will be refunded at the close of the tour with a $10 Weis gift card.
