On the heels of a major expansion of its Dearborn, Mich., store, Westborn Market now offers a full-service flower department that was previously located across the street on Michigan Avenue.
“We are delighted to give our customers the convenience of shopping for all their grocery, gift and floral needs under one roof,” said Erin Childs, manager of the store’s fresh floral department. The store’s new floral department, which features a medley of custom-designed arrangements, colorful bouquets, unique giftware, fresh-cut flowers, gift baskets and more, also includes a private consultation room to meet with customers in an intimate setting to discuss arrangements for weddings, anniversaries, funerals and other events, added Childs.
“Although our flower department only moved into the new space a few days ago, our customers have already made us feel like we’re at home,” said Childs, noting that “[o]ur goal is to return their loyalty with the best quality, pricing and service of any full-service flower market.”
Unique to each of Berkley, Mich.-based Westborn Market’s stores are large, custom-built walk-in coolers that house its fresh bouquets, tropical flowers, ready-made arrangements and flowers by the stem. The grocer also provides special touches, such as complimentary wrapping.
Customers can place advance floral orders by telephone or online via the grocer’s Web site. Delivery service is also available locally and worldwide.
