Winn-Dixie Launches Program to Help Shoppers Stretch $$$$

Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. this week launched its "I Saved" loyalty program to help shoppers stretch their grocery dollars by using the grocery chain's Customer Reward Card.

"In these difficult economic times, our customers are looking for new ways to save at their neighborhood Winn-Dixie," said Dan Portnoy, Winn-Dixie's chief merchandising and marketing officer. "The I Saved program is one way we can offer our customers a fresh and local shopping experience with the value they deserve."

Shoppers can save in five ways under the program: "Buy One Get One Free" (BOGO) deals, "10 for $10" items, quarterly "Good 'Til" sales, Winn-Dixie private label products, and new monthly "Locked-In Low Price" specials.

The launch was supported with in-store signage, circular advertisements and both TV and radio campaigns, with each component demonstrating the five ways to save.

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Winn-Dixie operates 521 retail grocery locations, including more than 400 in-store pharmacies, in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, and Mississippi.
