Winn-Dixie, Meow Mix Donate $100,000 to Help Humane Society Rebuild
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Winn-Dixie Foundation and pet food brand Meow Mix, owned by Del Monte Foods, presented a $100,000 donation this week to the Jacksonville, Fla. Humane Society, to help the society rebuild after a devastating fire in April.
The Humane Society was home to 170 dogs and cats before the tragic fire. The Meow Mix brand pledged $75,000 to help the rebuilding efforts, and the Winn-Dixie Foundation contributed an additional $25,000 to the cause.
