Winn-Dixie Touts Valentine's Day Promos
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Southeastern grocer Winn-Dixie here is luring Valentine's Day shoppers with special deals on flowers, free gift-wrapping, and more.
The retailer said yesterday its floral departments are offering bouquets of a dozen roses in a variety of colors, with a complimentary vase and gift bag starting at $17.99.
"Customer response to our specially-priced flowers, free gift wrapping, and 'Express Lane' checkouts was very strong last year, so we are committed to getting even better this year," noted Cindy Hanauer, Winn-Dixie director of floral operations, in a statement.
Complimentary gift-wrapping stations will be located in store lobbies, and will operate from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 12, and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on both Feb. 13 and 14.
To expedite the shopping process, the special "Valentine Express Lane" checkout registers will be devoted to customers purchasing Valentine's Day items. The "Valentine Express Lane" is located closest to the floral department and is open on Feb. 12 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Feb. 14 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
For those shoppers who are stumped about what to get their Valentine, Winn-Dixie is touting its extensive line of gift cards for all ages.
