Ian McLeod Leaving Southeastern Grocers
Anthony Hucker, COO of Jacksonville, Fla.-based Southeastern Grocers LLC, will assume the responsibilities of interim president and CEO on July 1, following the resignation of Ian McLeod to take up another opportunity. McLeod will remain in his current role through June 30 to assist with the transition.
“We are pleased that Anthony Hucker will be stepping in as President and CEO on an interim basis,” Southeastern Grocers said. “As COO, Anthony has a strong familiarity with our business, our stakeholders, our challenges and opportunities, and the strategic direction of the company. He brings extensive knowledge of the retail grocery sector, with more than 18 years of experience in leadership roles across our industry in the U.S. Prior to joining Southeastern Grocers as COO, he was president and COO of Schnucks, president of Giant Food and head of Walmart’s strategy and business development division, and spent 10 years as part of the original start up team with Aldi UK. We expect a seamless transition under Anthony's leadership.”

The company has begun a search for McLeod’s successor.
Southeastern Grocers, parent company of Bi-Lo, Fresco y Más, Harveys and Winn-Dixie grocery stores, is the fifth-largest conventional supermarket in the United States. The company employs nearly 60,000 associates in grocery stores, liquor stores and in-store pharmacies throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina.
