New Upton’s Naturals Jackfruit Varieties

Heat-and-eat vegan treats now in Sweet & Smoky, Sriracha

Upton’s Naturals, the Chicago-based company behind the first pre-seasoned, heat-and-serve jackfruit on the market, adds two new flavors to its lineup: Sweet & Smoky and Sriracha. Both varieties serve as a meat-free alternative for sandwiches, as a salad topping or as a snack. Sweet & Smoky variety features a sweet flavor combined with a kick of liquid smoke, working as an alternative filling for pulled pork sandwiches, or to top tacos and nachos. Upton's Sriracha Jackfruit, made with chili peppers, garlic, sea salt, vinegar and tamarind, can be battered and fried up as vegan “wings", or easily tossed into a wok with stir-fry vegetable and rice dishes.

Both flavors are 100 percent vegan, and boast a good source of fiber, while also made completely free of cholesterol, gluten, oil, GMOs and artificial flavors. Upton’s Naturals’ new Jackfruit varieties, both ready to heat and eat, have an SRP of $4.99 per 10.6-ounce box.
