Amazon Adds 50 Dash Buttons

Amazon.com has added more than 50 brands to its Dash Button program, the auto-replenishment system largely for popular household goods such as laundry pods, paper towels, coffee and trash bags. Brands newly available include Campbell’s, Cascade, Clif Bar, Dial, FIJI Water, Goldfish, Hubert’s Lemonade, Lavazza, Mentos, Nutiva, Puffs, Quilted Northern, Trident and V8.

Over the past three months, total orders via the Dash Button have grown by 70 percent and frequency has doubled, now taking place more than twice a minute. For popular items such as Bounty’s 8-packs of paper towels and Maxwell House’s 30-ounce canisters of ground coffee, more than half of Amazon orders are made via the Dash Button.

New retail categories such as musical equipment and toys also have joined the program, which now offers members more than 150 Dash Buttons, representing thousands of products from popular brands.

“This year, we’ve been focused on rapidly growing the Dash Button program in every dimension,” said Daniel Rausch, director of Amazon Dash. “In 2015, we had 29 brands on board, and today, we have more than 150 brands across dozens of retail categories and thousands of products — in just the last six months, we added over four times more brands to the program.”

Dash Buttons can be purchased by Amazon Prime members for $4.99 each, with each purchase earning a credit of the same value to the buyer’s Amazon account. If a customer is running low on an everyday essential, he can reorder the item by pressing the corresponding Dash Button.
