Former TV Icons Will Join Idaho Potato Commission At Fresh Summit

EAGLE, Idaho -- Barbara Eden and Dawn Wells, stars of the hit TV sitcoms "I Dream of Jeannie" and "Giligan's Island," will be on hand to meet and greet attendees at the Idaho Potato Commission's booth (#4705) at this year's PMA Fresh Summit in San Diego.

"Two classic American icons as famous for their roles as Idaho is for its potatoes ... [is] a match made in heaven," said Seth Pemsler, IPC's retail and international v.p.

Pemsler said the IPC is proud of its continuing relationship with Dawn Wells, best known for her role as "Mary Ann" on "Gilligan's Island." The commission recently entered its third year as a major sponsor of Wells' SpudFest Family Film & Music Festival.

An original Jeannie's bottle from the set of "I Dream of Jeannie" will be on display in IPC's booth on Sun., Oct. 22. There will also be raffle drawings for attendees, who are encouraged to drop off their business card beginning at 11am for a chance to win portable DVD players and the entire first season of I Dream of Jeannie on DVD. Drawings will be on the hour, every hour from noon to 4:00 pm (five in total).

Photo opportunities with the duo will be available on Mon., Oct. 23 from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m., and on Tues., Oct. 24, from 10:00 am -1:00 p.m.
